Erika Stone

Actor in Residence

Erika Stone is a graduate of New York University’s Educational Theatre program and worked for many years as a member of the resident company of the New York State Theatre Institute. While there, Erika won the Metroland award for Best Actress in the Capital District and worked with creatives such as songwriter George David Weiss, director and choreographer Patricia Birch, and composer/lyricist Charles Strouse. Erika has also worked in New York City and Los Angeles where she has performed in theatre, independent film, television, commercials, and voice-overs, including the cult classic short horror film Foet. More recently, she voiced multiple characters for the PBS documentary Amazing Women Doctors produced by colleague Valerie Scoon and performs locally all over Tallahassee where she has won awards for her portrayals of Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire and Amanda in The Glass Menagerie. She wishes writers would write more amazing roles for women like Tennessee Williams did!

Currently, Erika is the chair of the Tallahassee Irish Repertory Theatre and on the board of Theatre Tallahassee. Erika has also performed in numerous FSU films and loves working side by side with her students. Erika teaches Acting for Filmmakers, Film One, Acting for the Camera, Advanced Acting for the Camera, and is the Casting Advisor for the BFA program.
