Current FSU Student Transfer Instructions

To transfer into our major, FSU students must first submit our College’s Supplemental Application. Please read below for detailed instructions for applying to either our BFA in Production or the BFA in Animation & Digital Arts as a current FSU student.

1. Email admissions@film.fsu.edu AFTER September 1st, 2024 for the link to apply. After clicking the link, choose Log in as a Returning user. Log in using the email and password that you used to apply to FSU originally. If you have not applied to FSU within the last two years, select Create an account under First-time users to start the application.

2. Once you create an application or log in as a returning user, you should start a new application listed under Student Records. You must first select 2024-2025 Undergraduate then Enrolled Student. Do not select the Transfer Application – this is only for students outside of Florida State applying to the university. Internal FSU applicants should select the Student Records application.

3.You must choose ONE of our  majors. Motion Picture-Production OR Animation and Digital Arts.

Once you have answered the questions and uploaded the required materials, type your name in the confirmation section and submit your application. Once you submit your application, you will not be able to access it, make changes, or check your status (including the status of your letters of recommendation).

The deadline for the transfer application is January 15, 2025 for a Fall 2025 start.
