Minor in Film Studies

Description of Curriculum

The Film Studies minor offers students the opportunity to select a program of study that examines the many facets of American and international films. The interdisciplinary nature of the program allows students to experience different approaches to film study: film and cultural differences, basic film vocabulary, film history, film and social forces, film genres, film theories, film directors, and film aesthetics.

Please note: The Film Studies minor does not offer classes in filmmaking or working with film equipment. Those courses are open only to Film Majors.
