Academy of Television, Arts & Sciences College Television Awards

The FSU Film School has won a total of 20 student Emmys from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. In 2003, the Film School was the first school in the history of the Academy to place First, Second, and Third in the Comedy category. In 2004, the Film School set another record in the Academy's history by being the first school to win five student Emmys in one year (two First place, two Second place, and one Third place).

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation searches the nation for best film, video and digital works by college students. The College Television Awards is a national competition, providing broad industry recognition for outstanding student-produced films and videos.

Each year, hundreds of students from all across the nation enter this competition. Whether from small community colleges or large universities, students are afforded the opportunity to showcase their talent and bring their vision to the small screen.

Honored at a gala event and festival in Los Angeles each spring, winners are also mentored by television industry professionals, and receive cash prizes and product grants.
